On behalf of our team at Kaleidoscope, a mental wellness centre, I’m pleased to welcome you to our website! Allow me take you through our journey and how we aim to make a change in the way our society perceives mental health.
In this journey called life, the people we meet, the environment we live in, and the experiences we undergo mold us into the individuals we become. In the early 1980s, I was associated with the Delhi Police De-addiction Centre, where I worked extensively on addressing the physical & mental health issues of the troubled youth. Observing the afflicted individuals and treating them first-hand gave me perspective on the stigma attached to mental health and influenced me greatly to do something about it. Later, the success of the initiative strengthened my belief of treating individuals holistically, caring equally for their physical and mental health. The drive to spread awareness about the importance of mental and emotional well-being manifested itself into the shape of Kaleidoscope Life Skills which was founded in the year 2002. Like the name suggests, Kaleidoscope was started with a vision to acknowledge the different patterns of thought that young people have and guide them in finding symmetry and synergy in shaping those thoughts into drivers of personal growth.
Through my experience of working as a Homeopathic Physician for over twenty years, I have learned and come to realize that the human body is a mixture of complex bio-chemical and emotional processes. It can’t be treated in isolation of the emotional aspect of an individual. To bring about effective and lasting cures, we must have perfect synergy between physical and mental wellbeing.
Kaleidoscope is an initiative to raise awareness about, and give due significance to mental well- being in our day-to-day lives. Though our journey started with young children and adolescents in mind, with the passage of time, we expanded our horizons to other groups of the society too. Today, we stand tall with customized solutions that cater to all age groups, from young children to the senior members of our society. Having a conversation about mental health is particularly important in our country, where it is not as actively acknowledged as it should be. With the help of my extensive experience in the field backed by a team of internationally certified team of psychologists at Kaleidoscope, we curate and suggest holistic solutions aimed at nurturing our patients’ mind, body, and soul.
